Coastline - Freedom

A 44x36" spalted maple mosaic backer framed in solid, oiled walnut. Multiple borders within the main frame give this piece an elevated, sophisticated appearance while adding to the overall structure and stability of the piece.

A hand cut and hand shaped Bald Eagle adorns the middle of this piece. I wanted to showcase the wingspan while also showing the stunning face profile and large talons of this beautiful bird of prey.

A mix of browns and black were used to paint each individual feather in contrast with the white head and tail feathers.
