Coastline - Rainbow Octopus

A personal favourite of this collection!

A large 38x28x2" maple mosaic backer with a pop of teal in the inner frame to bring the bright colours of this piece together and to help the octopus stand out from the black background. This octopus was hand drawn and cut by hand on my scroll saw. The individual "suckers" were cut on my Aeon Mira 9 laser and shaped by hand using a rotary tool to help them fit the shape of the octopus' tentacles. It was painted a base colour of black and shaded using 13 different bright colours for a whimsical feel.

This piece comes complete with a heavy duty cleat hanger for easy hanging.
