Untamed

"Untamed" Let's talk about this backer shall we? Made from solid walnut - this intricate mosaic design in the back is incredibly time consuming - but worth every single bit of effort. Each piece individually cut by hand and the edges chamfered - have been glued in place to create this stunning pattern. All framed in a solid walnut round frame with hidden nails to secure it from behind.The wolf was hand drawn and directly inspired by a real image of a grey wolf. Each piece was cut from a 3/4" thick piece of MDF and carved by hand using a rotary tool to strategically bring dimension to each individual piece. I then spray painted each piece and added "hair strand" details using a stencil and spray paint.This piece comes complete with a heavy duty cleat hanger.
