A personal favourite design of mine. Oiled walnut make up the backer of this chunky piece. White Oak splines have been added to all 4 corners to reinforce the mitre. A rabbeted walnut frame is complimented by an inner white oak frame. A small amount of black Rubio Monocoat was used to enhance the grain in the white oak pieces in both the inner frame and the geometric design in the trees. Each tree was hand cut and hand shaped for maximum detail. Painted in varying shades of green much like our evergreen forests in the PNW.
This heavy piece comes complete with a cleat hanger.
