Coastline - Hummingbird

Oiled walnut and spalted maple make up this backer. The spalted maple is in a hexagon pattern and white acrylic splines were used in the corners of this piece to reinforce the structure and add a beautiful contrast. This hummingbird was hand drawn and hand cut. Each tiny piece was shaped using my rotary tool for maximum dimension. The bird pieces were spray painted individually and topped with a matte top coat.

This piece comes complete with a sawtooth hanger.
