Coastline - Rugged Coast

Using the rugged coastline of Vancouver Island as my inspiration, this piece is a play on where the massive waves meet the sand and evergreen trees along our coast. Spalted maple in a mosaic pattern makes up the backer and is framed in solid oiled walnut with a pop of painted green MDF sandwiched between the walnut frames. Acrylic splines in a contrasting mocha colour are used to reinforce the corners of this art piece. The waves and trees were hand cut and shaped and spray painted with a flawless finish.

This piece comes complete with a hanger on the back.
